Powdered Sugar Cookies Recipe
These Powdered Sugar Cookies are soft, buttery, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Coated with a dusting of powdered sugar, they make for a perfect sweet treat for any occasion.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup powdered sugar (for the dough)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup powdered sugar (for rolling the cookies)
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
Mix the dough:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and 1/4 cup powdered sugar together until light and fluffy.
Add the vanilla extract and mix until incorporated.
Gradually add the flour and salt, mixing until the dough comes together. The dough should be soft but not sticky.
Shape the cookies:
Roll the dough into small balls, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Leave a little space between each cookie as they will slightly expand during baking.
Bake:
Bake the cookies in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The center should remain soft.
Cool and coat with powdered sugar:
Allow the cookies to cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer them to a cooling rack.
Once the cookies are still warm but not hot, roll them in the powdered sugar until well coated.
Serve:
Let the cookies cool completely before serving. They are best enjoyed with a cup of tea or coffee.
These Powdered Sugar Cookies are light, sweet, and just the right amount of indulgence. Enjoy!
