Melt In Your Mouth Shortbread

 

Ingredients:

 

1/4 cup cornstarch

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup confectioners’ sugar

1 cup butter, softened

Instructions:

 

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a mixing bowl, combine the cornstarch, all-purpose flour, and confectioners’ sugar.

Add the softened butter to the dry ingredients and mix well until the dough is smooth and soft.

Using a piping bag or cookie press, pipe the dough into small rosettes or shapes on the prepared baking sheet.

Top each cookie with a maraschino cherry for a decorative touch.

Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges of the cookies begin to turn golden brown.

Let the shortbread cool on a wire rack before serving.
